Establish in 1989, Popular Sugar Mills is situated at Jan Muhammad Walla Near Sial More District Sargodha, and has been working as a commissioned mill since 1991. The Popular Group purchased 100% equity of the mills in 2013 and since then has been excelling at producing top quality sugar for consumer and industrial needs.

GLOBAL STANDARD PLANT & PROCESSES
The plant is comprehensive with the most advanced machineries including Shinko Japan, Helmak, Man German, Silver Weibull Sweden installations at areas of Power house, mill house prime movers, boiler house and process house including refine centrifugals, compressors, rising film evaporators (multiple effect and single effect), falling film evaporators, continuous clarifiers (Rapid Dorr, SRI Type) rotary drum vacuum filters and fluid bed type sugar dryers. It achieves a capacity of 6000-8000 TCD through the following:
Weigh-bridges:
2 Computerized 30 Ton bridges for raw material and tare weighing.
Cane Handling Stations:
Comprehensive pre-handling including cutting and shredding.
Juice Extractor:
Capacity of 250-333 TCH for quality juice production.
Process House:
Heating, defecation, clarification & evaporation for various grades.
Further Processes:
Separate handling and refinement of each grade of sugar.
BY PRODUCTS:
There are three by-products of sugar industry namely bagasse, filter cakes and final molasses. Surplus bagasse and filter cake are disposed off locally whereas final molasses are mostly the export commodity of our country.
